SUPPORTING artistic and musical talent in Menorca

Casa Reynolds offers grants to support young artists and musicians residing in Menorca in the development of their professional careers. Through these awards we aim to facilitate access to opportunities for training, creation, and cultural exchange that allow them to broaden their knowledge, gain new experiences, and establish connections that advance their careers. We believe that talent needs opportunities. That is why we support projects that not only benefit those who carry them out but also contribute to enriching the cultural life of Menorca.

We aim to support projects that enable young artists and musicians to develop their potential, discover new perspectives and return with experiences that can inspire others. Our goal is to contribute to the growth of a more connected, open and enriching creative ecosystem for Menorca.

CONCEPT

REQUIREMENTS

The following persons may apply for a grant:

  • Be between 18 and 35 years old.

  • Be residents of Menorca.

  • Submit a project related to their artistic or musical development.

  • For Music grants, demonstrate training and experience in conservatories, higher schools, orchestras, or other recognized institutions.

What do the BURSARIES fund?

Applications must be sent to becastrf@gmail.com.

The project proposal is the main evaluation criterion. We want to know what you intend to do, why this opportunity is important for your professional development, how you will use the requested funds, and what impact you expect it to have both on your career and, subsequently, on Menorca’s artistic and cultural community.

Art

Must include:

  • Recent artistic portfolio.

  • Artistic statement (200–300 words).

  • Project proposal.

  • Detailed budget.

Music

Must include:

  • CV.

  • One or more unedited videos.

  • Personal statement (200–300 words).

  • Project proposal.

  • Detailed budget.

How we evaluate applications

Applications will be evaluated by an independent jury made up of professionals specialized in art and music, ensuring a transparent and impartial process.

Special consideration will be given to:

  • The candidate’s quality and track record.

  • The quality, feasibility, and originality of the project.

  • The impact of the experience on the candidate’s professional development.

  • The contribution the project could later make to Menorca’s culture.

Casa Reynolds may request additional documentation or conduct interviews when necessary to complete the evaluation.

COMMITMENT TO MENORCA

The bursaries represent an investment in local talent and the island’s cultural future. For this reason, beneficiaries are expected to later share the experience they have gained through a concert, an exhibition, the donation of a work, a lecture, a workshop, or any other activity that brings that knowledge closer to the community. The format will be agreed jointly with Casa Reynolds according to the characteristics of each project.

FAQs

Is there a deadline to submit an application?

No. The call for applications remains open indefinitely and applications are reviewed periodically while funds are available.

Can funding be partial?

Yes. The panel may grant partial support or cover the full amount requested.

Can I apply again if I am not selected?

Yes. Unsuccessful applicants may submit a new application at any time.

What happens to my application?

Casa Reynolds may retain applications for future calls or new funding opportunities.

Resolution and conditions

Selected applicants will be contacted directly by Casa Reynolds to formalize the award of the grant. Submitting an application implies acceptance of these terms.

Casa Reynolds reserves the right to update them as necessary to improve the operation of the program.
